Earth and SpaceScience Lab

Adam comes to the ESSL after 15 years in FCPS. He taught middle school for 12 years and worked for three years as a Teacher Specialist for Professional Learning within central office. As a product of FCPS, Adam brings a broad perspective and a passion for fun and learning!

He has earned an Associate’s Degree in Parks Management, a B.S. in Elementary Education, and a Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership.   

Adam and his wife Nicole have two children. Adam enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and playing music in his spare time.

Lisa Bruck

Lisa comes to the Earth Space Science Lab after 20 years of teaching high school physics and earth science. Since 1995 she has worked with various NASA initiatives through the Ambassador program and has written the educational guide for the planetarium program Dynamic Earth.  

She received her B.S in Geoscience Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master's in Secondary Education from Salisbury State University. 

Lisa and her husband Keith have three sons.  As a family they enjoy going to baseball games, travelling, especially to the National Parks, and spending time outdoors gardening.
